Fanny Lumsden was thrown into the spotlight in Australia with her acclaimed debut album ‘Small Town Big Shot’, and will play a run of shows in the region this October.
The singer-songwriter from western New South Wales planned the tour to coincide with the games and festival of events.
The country singer believed it would be the perfect fit to visit the region with her annual Country Halls Tours having taken her to hundreds of rural and remote communities over the last six years.
“Tasmania is a natural fit for us and having the Australian Masters Games on is a bonus, given the importance the organisers place on giving back to the communities where the games are taking place,” she said.
Australian Masters Games general manager Scott Wade said Fanny Lumsden was a unique country folk singer who would be a perfect fit for the North-West region and it was awesome that her short Tasmanian tour would coincide with the Games during the busy month.
“It would be fair to say that our Australian Masters Games team cannot wait to catch one of Fanny’s gigs during Games week, whether that be in Wynyard, Devonport or Sheffield,” he said.
Fanny Lumsden Tour:
- Wharf Hotel at Wynyard - October 20
- Games official opening in Devonport – October 21
- St John’s Craft Beer Bar in Launceston – October 22
- Pop-Up Musical Festival at Sheffield – October 25.
